CAMDEN, N.J. (CN) - A New Jersey nightclub threatened two disability rights advocates who complained that the club - The Spot, in Glassboro - allowed Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb and defensive end Jevon Kearse to park in handicapped parking spaces, the advocates claim in Federal Court.
Plaintiffs Maryann Cottrell and Richard Holland claim the nightclub threatened to sue them for criminal trespass if they enter its property, in retaliation for their complaints. Cottrell and Holland did not sue the football players. They demand damages for retaliation, discrimination, and civil rights violations.
They are represented by Wesley Hanna with Friedman Doherty of West Berlin, N.J.
