MIAMI (CN) - Five flower companies conspired to secretly sell patented chrysanthemums and cheat the patent holder of $372,000, Royalty Administration International claims in Miami-Dade County Court. The Netherlands-based plaintiff enforces intellectual property rights for plant breeders.
Defendants in the chrysanthemum case are Spectrum LLC, of Florida; Agricola Cadiz; Colorado Farms; Exportaciones Bochica, all of Colombia; Pinnacle Farms, of Florida; Spectrum general manager Juan M. Fernandez; and Pinnacle president Hernando Caicedo, both of Miami.
Plaintiff is represented by Ricardo Reyes of Boca Raton.
