SEATTLE (CN) - The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and Department of Commerce handed out $350 million to forest industry groups instead of putting it into the U.S. Treasury as required by the U.S.-Canada Softwood Lumber Agreement, environmental groups claim in Federal Court.
The Forest Stewardship Council-United States, Conservation Northwest, and Center for Biological Diversity are represented by Peter Goldman with the Washington Forest Center.
