WASHINGTON (CN) - The National Marine Fisheries Service has designated critical habitat for the U.S. distinct population segment of smalltooth sawfish listed as endangered under the Endangered Species Act, April 1, 2003.
The designated area consists of more than 800,000 acres along the southwestern coast of Florida between Charlotte Harbor and Florida Bay, including more than 600,000 acres in the Everglades.
