WASHINGTON (CN) - President Obama has extended the national emergency declared by former President Bush on Sept. 14, 2001, which authorized the recall of retired and inactive reservists to active service in the military.
Obama noted that the threat of terrorist attacks on the U.S. is continuing and immediate. The emergency is extended for one year.
