WILMINGTON, Del. (CN) - Dolan Publishing Co. and affiliates, publishers of legal and business journals, filed for bankruptcy and its founder-CEO James Dolan will resign as the company reorganizes to shed debt.
Dolan, which publishes a long list of business and legal journals, listed $100 million to $500 million in assets and liabilities in its Chapter 11 filing
Among the entities filing for bankruptcy protection were Arizona News Service, Counsel Press, the Daily Journal of Commerce, Daily Reporter Publishing Co., Federal News Service, Finance and Commerce, the Idaho Business Review, Lawyer's Weekly, Long Island Business News, Missouri Lawyers Media, Legislative Information Services of America, New Orleans Publishing Group, the Daily Record Co., The Journal Record Publishing Co., and DataStream Content Solutions.
The top creditor listed in the filing is William Blair & Co., which is owed $837,267.
