WASHINGTON - A federal judge awarded $468 million to victims of the 1998 terrorist bombings of the U.S. Embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
One ruling awards $49 million to a group of U.S. citizens who were either injured in or related to victims of the attacks carried out by Iran and the Sudan. The second ruling awards $419 million to four injured Tanzanian citizens, the five estates of killed Tanzanian citizens, and 49 immediate family members of the victims.
