INSURANCE - SMI Owen Steel sued Marsh USA for the failure to secure SMI insurance protection while it served as a subcontractor in rebuilding the Aladdin Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The 5th Circuit found that Nevada's economic-loss doctrine does not bar a claim against an insurance broker for negligent failure to procure insurance. Affirmed.
