AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Commission for Lawyer Discipline seeks sanctions in Travis County Court against an immigration attorney it says took $1,500 to file a habeas petition for an asylum-seeker in immigration prison, though the lawyer’s license was suspended at the time, and then refused to return the $1,500.
