Alcazar_Sevilla

The architecture of the Real Alcázar de Sevilla may scream Moors, but the palace was actually built for the Christian king Peter of Castile. It was, however, built on the remains of a Muslim residential fortress, or alcazar, after the Christian conquest of Seville. Now a major tourist attraction, the palace also served as a set for the 1962 film "Lawrence of Arabia." (William Dotinga/Courthouse News)
