MANHATTAN (CN) - Ziff Davis Media, the publisher of Popular Electronics and PC Magazine, has filed for bankruptcy, listing $274 million in assets and $502 million in liabilities, including $165 million to Deutsche Bank.
Founded in 1927, Ziff Davis was best known as a publisher of hobby magazines, such as Popular Electronics, until the 1980s, when it branched out into Internet information services and computer magazines, such as PC Magazine.
