OAKLAND, Calif. (CN) - Bay Area Youth Centers failed to protect a mentally ill resident from his violent roommate, who choked, stabbed and sodomized him with a foreign object, the alleged victim's mother says in Alameda County Court. She claims her minor son had complained repeatedly about the roommate's threatening behavior, but the defendant ignored him.
She is also suing Sunny Hills Services, which merged with Bay Area Youth Centers. Her attorney is Michael Meadows with Casper, Meadows, Schwartz & Cook.
