You Need A Hall Pass For That

BATON ROUGE (CN) - A high school dean and nurse had a student with a broken toe hopping up and down the halls in a ridiculous search for a hall pass rather than treating his broken toe, the boy and his mom say.

Rochell Jones sued the East Baton Rouge Parish School System on behalf of her son. According to the complaint in East Baton Rouge Parish Court:

Stephen Jones dropped a computer on his toe while carrying it at a teacher's direction. He hopped to the school nurse and asked to call home, but she refused to help because he didn't have a hall pass. So he hopped down to the dean's office and explained the situation, and the dean told him to hop back to the nurse. So he did, but she sent him hopping back to the dean, who finally let him call him. His mom picked him up and took him to the doctor and - what do you know? - his toe was broken.

The Joneses are represented by Chiquita P. Tate.
