Yikes!

ATLANTA (CN) - A man claims he was "prudently riding" a Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority train when a "large rat" ran under his seat, crawled up his pants leg and bit him repeatedly as he "frantically attempted to extricate the large rat from his pants and off of his leg."

Jack Harper sued MARTA and a John Doe employee in Fulton County Superior Court.

Harper claims the rat bit him on Jan. 25, 2010 after he got on the train at the Five Points station for a trip to Decatur.

He says MARTA and its employees failed to "discover, recognize, observe, remove and remedy the dangerous condition of having a large, wild rat roaming its train."

Harper claims he suffered serious injuries, medical expenses, lost wages and mental anguish from the rat attack.

He demands punitive damages for personal injuries and negligence.

He is represented by Steven Jackson.
