SAN JOSE — A federal judge gave final approval Thursday to a settlement of a class action accusing Yahoo of automatically renewing paid subscriptions to its Rivals.com college sports site.

The estimated value of the damages is $1.7 million to $3.3 million, plus $300,000 in attorney’s fees.
