Xomax Nearly Killed Him, Man Says

MINEOLA, N.Y. (CN) - A man claims he suffered from encephalitis, hallucinations, psychosis and memory loss from taking Nutritional Science Laboratories' Xomax, sold as an "all-natural non-prescription pill to give you a ... bigger, thicker, longer penis!" In his $10 million claim, Junior Melong says his injuries were caused by Yohimbe, an African tree bark in Xomax.

Melong says Nutritional Science Laboratories pushes the drug by claiming it has no side effects. But he says, "The United States Food and Drug Administration has investigated Yohimbe and found its side effects to be well recognized and serious including renal failure, seizures, central nervous stimulation, increased heart rate, rise in blood pressure, difficulty in breathing, chest pain, heart attacks, psychotic episodes and even death."

Melong says he took the pills as directed and was hospitalized with a variety of alarming ailments. Now, according to the complete, he "has complete memory loss, and has in large part lost touch with reality. Plaintiff is essentially childlike and cannot be left alone during his waking hours."

He is represented in Nassau County Court by Kenneth Mollins of Melville, N.Y.
