Wrongful death claims

LOS ANGELES — A See’s Candies employee’s wrongful death claim against the company arising from the death of her husband from Covid-19, which she says she contracted while at work because of inadequate safety measures, is not preempted by exclusivity provisions of the Workers’ Compensation Act, an appeals court in California ruled.
