Writer Says Producer|Stole Her Show

LOS ANGELES (CN) - A writer says the owner of Greenlight Entertainment stole her idea for a reality television series about a "trans American road rally car race."

Sharlene Sullivan says she pitched her idea for "Speed Star" to Greenlight owner Fred Jung, along with Greenlight's producer and vice-president,iMay 2006. After the pitch meeting, Sullivan says, her attorney sent Jung the treatment she had written to flesh out the show's concept. Sullivan had registered the treatment with the Writers Guild of America in 2005, according to the lawsuit.

Instead of developing the show with Sullivan, Jung allegedly used the treatment to create the show himself. The show aired in 2007, the complaint says.

Sullivan is represented in Superior Court by Steven Lowe.
