WASHINGTON (CN) – A British mercenary who was shot five times in Afghanistan demands $7 million from Air Serv International and the Louis Berger Group. Plaintiff Paul Douglas Burke claims Air Serv, a US AID contractor, hired incompetent workers who violated basic security procedures, and failed to provide protective gear, so that he was severely wounded in a bungled helicopter operation outside of Kandahar on Feb. 22, 2004.
