WINFIELD, Mo. - A small-town Missouri woman tried to scare children by walking toward them wearing a ski mask and holding a chain saw, police said in a felony harassment complaint.

Lynn Marie Herzog, 50, of Winfield, was arrested Sunday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

Winfield, pop. 1,100, is 45 miles northwest of St. Louis.

Police said Herzog yelled at the children in coarse language, videotaped and photographed them and walked toward them holding a chainsaw.

Herzog was being held on $10,000 bail Monday.
