Workers Say Target Manager Made Them Falsify Surveys

LOS ANGELES (CN) - Three former Target employees claim they were fired in retaliation for obeying the orders of their store manager, co-defendant Hayden Eligon, who made workers fraudulently fill out "customer surveys," indicating they just loved Eligon's store, in Carson, Calif.

Plaintiffs claim Eligon and other managers filled out the bogus customer surveys themselves, to curry favor with corporate overhead, then forced other store employees to do the same thing, on pain of being "written up" and fired. They claim they complained repeatedly to Human Resources about the frauds, and when corporate finally heard about it, Target fired the low-ranking workers, but not Eligon. They demand lost wages and punitive damages, in Superior Court. They are represented by Hamner Law Offices of Encino.
