Worker Says GE Oven Didn’t Pass Muster

LOUISVILLE (CN) - General Electric fired a 20-year employee to retaliate for his truthful reports "that the GE profile 30 inch free-standing double oven range prototype, which he was testing, did not pass the carbon monoxide, fire and explosion standards for UL [Underwriter Laboratories] certification pursuant to the correct testing guidelines," Christopher Edelen claims in Jefferson County Court. He also claims GE discriminated against him because he's white. See complaint.
