Worker Says Company President Raped Her

VANCOUVER, B.C. (CN) - A sales coordinator at Marubeni-Itochu Steel Canada says the company president raped for 2 years under the constant threat of losing her job. She claims Atsushi Ide forced himself on her and forced her to give him oral sex while parked at the cemetery where her recently deceased mother was buried.

She says that when she resisted Ide's advances, she was stripped of clients, given poor performance reviews and singled out and chided in front of coworkers. She says her complaints against Ide were ignored, and she was retaliated against after filing a human rights complaint in January 2008. She is represented in B.C. Supreme Court by Clive Ansley.
