Woman Sues|Revenge Porn Operators

CHICAGO (CN) - A woman sued the revenge porn site UGotPosted.com, claiming it published 14 nude photographs of her, with her name, hometown and place of employment.

Jane Doe sued Kevin Bollaert, Eric Chanson, Roy Chanson, Amy Chanson, Blue Mist Media and YouGotPosted.com, in Federal Court.

"This action involves the defendants' violation of the plaintiff's privacy and efforts to discredit, disparage, and damage the plaintiff's reputation," she says in the complaint.

"On February 8, 2013, the plaintiff received a text message from an unknown phone number.

"The February 8 text implied that nude photos of the plaintiff existed online on the offending website at the domain www.ugotposted.com.

"Defendants own and operate the offending website.

"The plaintiff then used the search engine Google to search her name.

"Google returned web and image search results bearing the plaintiff's name and image.

"The plaintiff then clicked on the links for the search results bearing her name and image, visited the offending website, and discovered fourteen private photographs bearing the YouGotPosted watermark in which she appeared nude.

"The plaintiff also discovered two photographs bearing the YouGotPosted watermark in which she appeared fully clothed," the complaint states.

Doe says she did not post the pictures herself or authorize anyone else to post the private pictures.

She claims the website listed her name, the town she lived in, and her place of employment. It did not respond to her requests to remove the pictures, Doe claims.

"The unauthorized publication of private photographs of the plaintiff on the offending website has affected plaintiff's private life and the manner in which she is viewed among family, friends, and colleagues," she says.

Doe seeks an injunction compelling the website to remove her photos, and damages for defamation, public disclosure of private facts, false light, and emotional distress.

She is represented by Charles Lee Mudd Jr.

She claims defendant Kevin Bollaert owns and operates ugotposted.com, and is a partner of the Chanson defendants, alter egos of Blue Mist Media.
