Woman Says Store Clerk|Shot Her With Stun Gun

HOUSTON (CN) - A gas station-convenience store clerk zapped a customer with a stun gun after an argument, then beat her in the head until her friends pulled him off, the woman claims in Harris County Court. She says Murphy Oil and Wal-Mart Stores let the clerk keep a stun gun behind the counter and he assaulted her with it after an argument over a pack of cigarettes.

Nyesha Brown says tried to buy a pack of cigarettes after the clerk, Koffi Houngbo, refused to sell to a friend because he had no ID with him.

"Huongbo immediately began yelling at Ms. Brown in an abrasive and hostile tone, stating and conveying his intention to deny her request to purchase cigarettes," the complaint states.

An argument ensued and Brown left the store. She says Houngbo followed her with a stun gun in one hand and a windshield washer in the other.

Brown says Huongbo zapped her once from behind, then spun her around and shot her in the bare chest with the stun gun. Then he hit her in the head with the windshield washer until her friends subdued him, she says.

Huongbo was arrested for assault and battery.

Brown seeks damages for negligent entrustment, assault and battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She is represented by Dennis Spurling of Houston.
