Woman Says Snoop Dogg’s Manager Beat Her

AUSTIN, Texas (CN) - A woman claims Snoop Dogg's tour manager assaulted her, lifting her off the ground by her neck, pulling out her hair and throwing her down to a cement floor, upon her head.

Kim McGee sued the rapper's tour manager Frank Palomino, Snoop Dogg himself (Calvin Broadus), the blogger Mario Lavendeira aka Perez Hilton, three corporations and an LLC, in Travis County Court.

McGee, an employee of defendants Spotlight Crew Inc. and C-3 Presents LLC, says she took Snoop Dogg and his entourage from their hotel to a performance, produced by Perez Hilton, in 2010.

McGee claims Palomino verbally abused her during the drive.

"Upon arriving at the venue, and after having endured this verbal abuse from Palomino," McGee says, she reported it to her boss at C3, nonparty Justin Smith, who told her "to inform Palmino that she would no longer provide transportation or any other services to Snoop Dogg for the duration of his time in Austin, as a result of the prior abuse."

McGee claims that when she went tell Palomino "that she would no longer be serving as tour support for Snoop Dogg, Palomino grabbed plaintiff by the neck, lifted her off the ground, shook her violently (pulling out large amounts of her hair), then dragged and pushed plaintiff across the floor and into an adjacent room, where he continued to assault on her (while not allowing her to leave the enclosed area), and then threw her to the cement floor, causing her head violently to strike the floor. The above-referenced assault occurred on the premises of the venue." (Parentheses in complaint.)

McGee claims that her boss at C3 saw her being attacked, but "(i) did not attempt to stop Palomino from assaulting her; (ii) did not stop Palomins from leaving after the assault; (iii) did not call the proper authorities for assistance for plaintiff, or to report the assault, until hours after the plaintiff had fled the scene in fear for her life."

The complaint continues: "Even after Palomino assaulted plaintiff and left the area, Smith refused to assist plaintiff in obtaining medical assistance or even transportation to a medical facility. Smith also refused to provide plaintiff with the name of her assailant. Further, none of the venue's security personnel attempted to stop the assault or, after it was over, detain Palomino. Nor did they call police of assist plaintiff in obtaining transportation to the hospital."

McGee says she needed "extensive and significant medical care" for the injuries Palomino inflicted.

She claims that before Palomino assaulted her, "Snoop Dogg was on notice of similar incidents involving complaints of improper training and supervision and/or use of excessive force by his employees at previous concerts," but failed to train his employees to prevent this. "It was foreseeable that this kind of action would occur given the history of Snoop Dogg and/or his employees in this respect," McGee says.

Also named as defendants are event sponsors and producers Firethorn Mobil Inc. dba Swagg and BMF Media Inc., and security provider W3 Event Specialists Inc.

McGee seeks damages for assault, injuries, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and conspiracy.

She is represented by Guillermo Ochoa-Cronfel of Austin.
