CLEVELAND (CN) - A woman claims she was fired after Mario Lavandeira posted an email she sent, and her name, work email address and employer's name, as his "Email of The Day" on Lavandeira's Perez Hilton celebrity blog. She claims that threats and spam messages to her and her boss led to her firing.
Diane Wargo claims Lavandeira violated his Web site's promised terms of use by publishing her personal information. She claims she received "several hundred emails threatening her and her family" and "many threatening phone calls to her listed home phone number," and so did several of her bosses.
Wargo's complaint does not state what her email to PerezHilton said, but several of the emails she received in response accuse her of being sexually repressed.
She demands punitive damages. She is represented in Cuyahoga County Court by Brian Spitz.
