Woman Says NFL Star Spit in Her Face

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (CN) - A woman says former Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson threatened to kill her and her boyfriend, spat in her face and had his bodyguards attack her after she rebuffed his sexual advances at a night club.

Ashley Stewart claims in Jackson County Circuit Court that Johnson tried to buy her a shot of booze at the Blonde nightclub on Oct. 3, 2008, but she declined.

A week later, she says she ran into Johnson again, who was drunk.

This time, she says, Johnson told her, "All I want to tell you is I'm going to kill your boyfriend"; "I'm going to f___ his world up because I can't f___ yours up" and "I'm gonna kill you too. First I'm gonna kill your boyfriend, then I'm gonna kill you and that's a promise."

After that verbal salvo, Stewart says, Johnson spat his drink in her face. Then Johnson's bodyguards tackled her, she says.

Stewart says she called 911 after being escorted from the club, and Johnson, escorted by two bodyguards, tried to spit on her three more times as he left the club.

Stewart seeks punitive damages from Johnson and from Blonde. She is represented by Charles Speer.

The Chiefs released Johnson in November, after several unpleasant off-the-field incidents. Two weeks after his release, Johnson signed with the Bengals. Last week he had 107 yards rushing on 22 carries in Cincinnati's 16-7 win over the Cleveland Browns.
