OMAHA (CN) - Omaha cops executing a no-knock search warrant shot to death a woman's Labrador retriever, "Lucky Boy," from outside the house, killing the harmless and inoffensive dog in its closed living room, the woman claims in Federal Court.
Colleen Carroll demands punitive damages from the City and from its police Officers Constance Garro and Mike Ashbrook. She says the officers did not arrest or charge her with anything after they killed her dog. And she says the city condones and encourages its cops to shoot harmless dogs, "regardless of whether these pets present any threat to officers and before any threat can be ascertained."
She is represented by Robert Broom.
