Woman Says ID Thieves Threatened Her Life

PHILADELPHIA (CN) - A man and women defrauded a hair stylist for the woman's $2,200 hair extension, and then threatened her life when the stylist discovered they had paid for it with a stolen credit card, the woman says.

Jocelyn Kirsch and Edward Anderton pulled the scam on hair stylist Jennifer Bisicchia and the Giovanni & Pileggi salon, according to the complaint in state court.

Bisicchia says that half an hour after she performed the 7-hour procedure on Kirsch, with Anderton occasionally watching, she received a phone call from a woman who lived in the same apartment building as Kirsch. The woman said she had a $500 charge on her credit card for services she had not ordered.

Bisicchia claims she tried to contact the defendants about the suspected fraud, and then received this text message on her telephone: "HELLO JEN BISICCHIA. YOU DON'T KNOW MY NAME BUT I KNOW YOURS. I ALSO KNOW UR NICE PLACE ON WOLF ST AND HOW U GET HOME AT NIGHT. YOURE THE ONE WHO SHOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT VISITORS AT UR DOOR. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'VE GOTTEN URSELF INTO. YOU SEEM LIKE A SMART GIRL. WALK AWAY NOW OR YOU WILL REGRET IT."

She says the message terrified her and made her fear for her life. She claims Anderton, of Everett, Wash., claimed to be the father of Kirsch, of Winston-Salem, who claimed to be named Morgan Greenhouse. She demands damages for terrorist threat, fraud, conversion, emotional distress and breach of contract. She is represented by Arthur Goldman of Paoli, Pa.
