CHICAGO (CN) - A doctor gave an underage patient drugs and sexually abused her, leading to his arrest and guilty plea to producing child pornography and distributing a controlled substance, the girl, now a woman, claims in Cook County Court.
The woman says Advocate Medical Group negligently hired and retained Dr. Robert J. Hughes. She says Hughes provided her with drugs and drug paraphernalia that he got from Advocate Medical, beginning in October 2007. Then, she says, Hughes touched her inappropriately and initiated a nonconsensual sexual relationship with her.
The "inappropriate relationship .... culminat(ed) in his arrest and guilty plea to one count of production of child pornography and one county of distribution of a controlled substance," the complaint states.
The woman seeks damages for battery, assault, emotional distress and negligence.
She is represented by Emilio Machado with Rubin, Machado & Rosenblum.
