Woman Pleads Guilty to Running Hooker Website

SAN FRANCISCO (CN) - A woman accused of helping run two websites that connected prostitutes with johns in the Bay Area and throughout the West Coast pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday.

Annmarie Lanoce, 40, of Rocklin admitted to aiding and abetting interstate and foreign travel in aid of a racketeering enterprise, according to court documents. Lanoce's plea stems from a federal indictment in June that accused Lanoce of running sfredbook.com and myredbook.com along with Eric Omuro, 53.

Myredbook.com purported to provide escort, massage and strip club reviews but was actually used to host advertisements for prostitutes, prosecutors said. Ads included photos, physical descriptions and menus of sexual services.

Prosecutors also charged Omuro with 24 counts of money laundering for allegedly using multiple aliases to transfer revenue from myredbook.com to his bank accounts.

Omuro is currently out on bond.

Lanoce's plea agreement was not immediately available for public viewing. She's due in court for sentencing on March 19.
