(CN) - A woman claims in court that she fell off a booze-covered bar while dancing for free drinks because the establishment did not carefully oversee a promotional event.
Danielle Graham sued Wine Dive LLC dba Snooty's Wine Dive in Palm Beach County, Fla. court last week for negligence.
She claims she fell and hurt herself in December at Snooty's in West Palm Beach, Fla. after getting off the slippery bar top.
"Defendant was providing both a $10.00 per person 'bottomless' Champagne/Mimosas/Bloody Mary's and offering a Fireball promotion wherein any and all females (only) who mounted the bar top and danced in a provocative fashion would receive and be encouraged by the defendant's employees to take multiple free shots of Fireball," the complaint states. "As a result of the above, the bar upon which...the many ladies were dancing, was covered in Fireball and other various liquids thereby creating a slippery surface occupied by intoxicated patrons...the plaintiff, Danielle Graham, departed the bar top striking her head, face, mouth and other areas on her person in the process."
Graham alleges Snooty's was "negligent in its promotion and oversight of such events" and did not safely maintain its premises, according to the complaint.
She seeks compensatory damages and is represented by J. Stuart Kirwan III of Vastola & Kirwan in North Palm Beach, Fla.
Snooty's did not immediately return a request for comment.
