Wisconsin Appeals Court

JURISDICTION, EMPLOYMENT - The appeals court affirmed dismissal of a former correctional officer's claim that he was not promoted to captain because he allegedly asked a subordinate for a lap dance at a party. J. Wedemeyer found that the Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission lacked jurisdiction to hear his appeal, since the administrative code allows dismissal at any time during the probationary period without the right to an appeal.
