Widow Sues Metra|For Husband’s Murder

CHICAGO (CN) - The widow of Thomas Alan Cook sued Metra (the Northeast Illinois Regional Commuter Railroad Corp.), claiming her husband was murdered while working alone at the 147th Street Station in Harvey, Ill. Pamela Cook claims in Cook County Court that Metra knew the station was so dangerous that other Metra police officers had refused to work there without backup.
