(CN) - Officials with the White House expressed anger over the leak of President Donald Trump's schedule for the past three months, which showed the president engaging two-thirds of his schedule in "executive time" when he allegedly watches TV and reads newspapers.
News website Axios published the leaked schedule on Sunday, which shows the majority of the president's schedule spent in unstructured time within the past three months.
Leaks of this magnitude have happened within the Trump administration before, like transcripts of Trump's phone calls with leaders of Australia and Mexico and an editorial from an unknown White House official who called themselves "part of the resistance."
Administration officials were quick to denounce the leak on Monday, while staying mum on the accuracy of the purported schedule.
"As you see, he's a very active president and the results speak for themselves," said Kellyanne Conway to a pool of reporters Monday. "Whoever leaked it doesn't know what [Trump is] doing in more than that block of time."
Conway said 388 people have access to the broad schedule that was leaked, but "very few" have access to the president's more detailed schedule. She declined to comment on whether the White House would start an investigation into the leak.
Madeleine Westerhout, director of Oval Office Operations, said in a tweet Sunday that the leak doesn't show everything the president does.
"What a disgraceful breach of trust to leak schedules," Westerhout tweeted. "What these don't show are the hundreds of calls and meetings [Trump] takes everyday. This [president] is working harder for the American people than anyone in recent history."
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told Axios on Sunday that the "creative environment" has made President Trump "the most productive president in modern history."
"President Trump has a different leadership style than his predecessors and the results speak for themselves," Sanders told Axios.
Democrats have been quick to take advantage of the leak, as evidenced by comments made on social media.
Hillary Clinton's political adviser and Democratic strategist Adam Parkhomenko criticized the official message coming from administration officials.
"I love the [White House] aides pushing back on trump's released schedule by telling us how hard he works. HEY DUMBASSES, HE TAGS THE TV SHOWS HES WATCHING. WE CAN SEE HIM DOING NOTHING," he tweeted.
"President Trump spends 60% of his schedule in 'Executive Time,' tweeted Rep. Adam Schiff, California-D. "The rest of the day he spends watching TV."
White House officials have previously said they would root out leakers through internal investigations.
