MANHATTAN (CN) - A member claims the United Fujianese of America Association refused to let him to see its books after posters went up in Chinatown accusing it of failing to account for $600,000 in donations for survivors of the May 2008 Sichuan Wenchuan earthquake.
Zhou Luo Ni says the nonprofit agreed to let him see the books, then reneged the day before it had promised to do so, saying its president, Shiu Min Cheng, was out of the country.Zhuo wants to seek the books. He is represented in New York County Court by John Stebe of Brooklyn.
