ST. LOUIS (CN) - A man died because Southwest Airlines and the City of St. Louis failed to train employees how to use the defibrillators in Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, his survivors claim in city court.
Stavroula Tellios says her father, Ted Tellios, died of a hear attack while picking her up at the airport on May 27, 2005. She claims several employees of Southwest and the city attended to him but none used the defibrillators that could have prevented his death.
The defendants failed to notify employees of the existence of defibrillators in the terminal, failed to teach their employees how to use them, failed to post signs notifying employees and the public of the defibrillators, and failed to put them in easy to locate positions in the terminal, the complaint states.
