ATLANTA (CN) - A waitress says the rapper known as Da Brat hit her in the head with a liquor bottle at a nightclub. Shayla Stevens says Shawntae Harris lived down to her moniker when the female rapper attacked her at the "So So Scary" Halloween party in 2007.
In her complaint in Fulton County Superior Court, Stevens says Harris has a criminal record and a history of assaulting women. She says Harris was briefly detained by the club's security personnel, but it did not protect the waitress. She says Harris "charged" her and "struck her on the head and in the face with a liquor bottle."
Stevens also sued producer Jermaine Dupri, Joseph London aka Solo Entertainment, and Dupri's record label, So So Def Recordings.
She is represented by Stephen D. Apolinsky.
