Voting in Texas

A federal court in Texas dismissed a suit seeking the implementation of “practical and constitutionally-required measures” to protect public health and guarantee all Texas residents’ right to vote. While the court found the plaintiff’s requests reasonable, saying they could “easily be implemented,” it dismissed the case for lack of subject matter jurisdiction.

SAN ANTONIO — A federal court in Texas dismissed a suit seeking the implementation of “practical and constitutionally required measures” to protect public health and guarantee all Texas residents’ right to vote. While the court found the plaintiff’s requests reasonable, saying they could “easily be implemented,” it dismissed the case for lack of subject matter jurisdiction.
