FAIRFIELD, CALIF. (CN) - One month after Gary Cloutier won the Vallejo mayoral race by five votes, his opponent won the recount by three. Now Cloutier has asked the Solano County Court to stop the Solano County Recorder's office from overturning his election until an investigation determines why an uncounted vote for him was found in the garbage, explain the 10-vote discrepancy between the machine count and hand counts, and look into other election code violations.
