Priorities USA, et al. sued Michigan in federal court, claiming its Voter Transportation Ban that makes it a crime to hire transportation for handicapped people and its Absentee Ballot Organizing Ban that criminalizes organizing efforts to encourage voters to submit applications for absentee ballots are unconstitutional.

DETROIT — Priorities USA brought a federal complaint challenging the constitutionality of  Michigan's Voter Transportation Ban, which makes it a crime to hire transportation for handicapped people, and its Absentee Ballot Organizing Ban, which criminalizes organizing efforts to encourage voters to submit applications for absentee ballots.
