Vote dilution

WICHITA, Kan. — A federal court in Kansas allowed portions of a Voting Rights Act lawsuit to proceed against Dodge County for allegedly diluting the Latino vote. The suing citizens’ claims under the Fifteenth Amendment and equal protection clause are not well pleaded, but did show that the white majority has consecutively defeated Latino-preferred candidates since at least 2000.
