Virus Safety in Prison

In a class action brought by inmates, the Eleventh Circuit stayed an injunction, pending appeal, that requires the Metro West Detention Center in Florida to employ several safety measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The court also expedited the appeal. As of Friday, 163 inmates in the prison had tested positive for the virus.
