Virus Safety in Prison

<p>In a class action brought by inmates, the Eleventh Circuit <strong><a href="http://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/virussafetyinprison.pdf">stayed</a></strong> an injunction, pending appeal, that requires the Metro West Detention Center in Florida to employ several safety measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The court also expedited the appeal. As of Friday, 163 inmates in the prison had tested positive for the virus. </p>

The court also expedited the detention center’s appeal. As of Friday, 163 inmates in the prison had tested positive for the virus.
