Violent conviction unsealed

DAYTON, Ohio — An appeals court in Ohio ruled that, regardless of whether the state objected to the sealing of a criminal defendant’s conviction, the trial court did not have the authority to seal the judgment of conviction because defendant was convicted of a violent offense.
