Vindicated ex-con gets some phone records

CHICAGO — A federal court in Illinois partially quashed an exonerated ex-convict’s subpoena for his recorded prison phone calls; he is suing Chicago and its police officers because he served 23 years in prison for the crime he did not commit. Calls he made to his son, former attorneys and current counsel are not relevant, while calls to his mother and sister, who were disclosed as witnesses and likely discussed his innocence, may be obtained.
