Victim Sues Uncle Sam Over IRS Agent Who Stole His Identity

AUSTIN (CN) - They're from the Internal Revenue Service, and they're here to steal your identity. Michael Jones has sued the United States of America, which sued and obtained a guilty plea from IRS employee Hazel Leora Jones, for abuse of a government computer.

Jones got from an IRS computer a list of taxpayers with the plaintiff's name, and middle name, and gave it to her brother, Michael Jones, "knowing that he intended to use the information to commit financial frauds through identity theft, for private financial gain," this lawsuit states, quoting from the plea agreement. The plaintiff demands damages from Uncle Sam. He is represented in Federal Court by Stephen Schultz.
