WASHINGTON (CN) - President Obama has issued an executive order establishing a task force on veterans small business development.
The task force is to coordinate the efforts of federal agencies to improve capital, business development opportunities, and pre-established federal contracting goals for small businesses owned and controlled by veterans, including service-disabled veterans.
The Administrator of the Small Business Administration will serve as chair, with senior representatives from the Departments of the Treasury, Defense, Labor, Veterans Affairs, the Office of Management and Budget, the General Services Administration, and the Small Business Administration serving as members. The Administrator will choose four representative from a veterans' service or military group, to serve also.
