MONTPELIER, Vt. — The Vermont Supreme Court ruled that a lower court should have stricken the defamation claim brought against the Vermont Digger by a man who believes he is the victim of a hate crime because the newspaper reported about his threats against the Vermont House speaker, his mental health history and failure to comply with anti-stalking orders.
